New Release

Random Walks employs a street style of photography.  Containing over 100 full colour images the book is strongly graphic in nature, are informal and work to capture the unexpected but ordinary moment of everyday life in the city of New Westminster.

The images in this book are all created using an iPhone.  The iphone offers a new and exciting technology, providing the photographer quick and easy access to a powerful camera.

Random Walks is a must for anyone interested in photography, history and contemporary life in British Columbia and the city of New Westminster.

“I view photography as a window to understand and appreciate the present and peer into the history and concept of a place.”

My photography focuses on people and the environment in which they live, work and play. Through graphic design and composition, I work to see the extraordinary in the ordinary.

I am trained in archaeology and photography both of which I combine in the study of British Columbia’s cultural and natural history. I have completed six books illustrating my home province of British Columbia.

I am trained as both an archeologist and photographer.

I may not be an Indiana Jones, but I’ve spent decades of my life as an explorer, from the caves of Laos, to the waters of the Fraser River. My own history combines itself to enable a unique understanding, interpretation, and appreciation of the natural world, both in my home of British Columbia and around the globe. These lived experiences have offered a prolific opportunity to document these adventures, and the spaces, places, and peoples I’ve encountered.

Let’s have coffee.
