Yoga
I am currently working on a book that explores the contribution of yoga studio’s to their community. Yoga students and instructor’s are interviewed, photographed and share their yoga experience. Photographically the book explores and experiments with a variety of studio lighting techniques and body postures.
Street Photography
Over the coming three years I will be exploring the communities located along Highway 97. From the grassland deserts of the south Okanagan to the boreal forests of Watson Lake, this is the longest highway in British Columbia. Raw and candid in nature I will be employing a street photographic style to capture the stories of everyday life and the character that defines the various communities and landscape.
Encaustics
Encaustics is a technique of painting with beeswax. Combined with various coloured pigments I apply the encaustic medium to the surface of my photographs to enhance both the images colour and texture. Applying the encaustic technique provides a rewarding challenge to the world of photographic interpretation..
